Some patients have difficulties with sleeping on the first night after surgery, which may be due to stress, as well as other simple psychological factors. The lack of quality sleep in the first nights after a hair transplant is not a sign of medical problems or complications and does not require mandatory medical adjustment.

Sleep Tips After Hair Transplant

Starting from the first day after the operation and for the next 14 days, try to sleep on your back, avoiding the area of the head in contact with transplanted hair with a pillow or other objects.

In the first few days after surgery, the patient should never lie on his side and sleep face down, which can also provoke the appearance of puffiness or injure transplanted grafts on the side of the head.

After the first shampoo (on the second or third day after surgery), patients begin to feel much more comfortable.  High-quality and full sleep, in most cases, is expected 5-7 days after surgery, when the main stage of the healing process ends.
