Hair loss due to stress
Our life is full of surprises, good and bad. The body reacts approximately the same to very good and very bad events – the development of stress.
Does Stress Cause Hair Loss?
Many people notice hair loss in 2-3 months after an exciting situation. This process is natural and should pass quickly, within 3-4 months. But, there are situations when hair loss only intensifies, thinning of hair develops. This process develops thanks to the stress hormone – adrenaline. During a stressful situation, the adrenal glands release adrenaline, a narrowing of small blood vessels, including those that nourish the hair bulb, occurs. Oxygen and nutrients cease to flow to the hair, metabolic products are not excreted. There is a “starvation” of actively dividing cells, they cannot produce hair and it falls out.
